Happy New Year

Inga wishes you all a happy new year!

She especially wishes Baga Granowski a happy 80th birthday- even if Baga doesn't want to be 80.

Oma gave Inga 40 bales of hay- Unk and Pappa put them on the porch. We let Oma know that we would NOT be bringing the bales back on the train.

Knit Sheep/bears

Our lovely Anderson friends knit Inga these unbelievable sweaters and sheep. Inga opened the package and immediately started growling- she thought they were bears.

Inga's Big Day

Inga got a very, very fun book from Santa- which she immediately asked grandpa to read. She can now find all of the poop. The lower picture is a graphic representation of how Inga felt at the end of the day...

Presents

Santa brought inga toys-- inga thought that all of the packages contained toys "toys, fun!" Inga got the super-fun present of mittens from her mommy, a doll house, and a transit station. She has become an expert unwrapper-- call her for your package opening needs.

Christmas Breakfast

Uncle Anders and Anna made us breakfast in the morning. Inga liked the St. Nick's bread (sent by great-grandma blomer), but she wasn't so sure about the polenta with dried mango. She really likes clementines...

Holly Trolly

Inga's first visit with Santa ended in relief when she was able to sit in her own seat-- far away from the Santa...

Holly Trolly

Inga and I rode the trolley between lake Harriot and lake Calhoun. We listened to christmas carols, looked out the window at the graves decorated for the holidays (yes, it goes through the graveyard) and visited with a very hard-working santa..

Inga's pretty chirstmas tree

St. Nick's Day 2008

Inga came downstairs and found a new pair of shoes, a book (christmas in noisy village) and marzipan. The tree had also been decorated while she slept. Inga kept on looking at the tree and saying "wow" and "pretty."

At the Children's Museum

Inga and her friend and I went to the Museum on Thursday (I took the day off)...There would be a lot more pictures, but I ran out of batteries. Inga and her friend super liked the water, but they liked shopping in the pretend supermarket the best. They did NOT like the ant cave (scary, mommy)

Inga's new chair in her room

3 dollies, one highchair

Inga loves to load her dollies into the highchair and force-feed them blocks....

Happy Birthday Grandma Mary !

Now Try to catch me.....

Friends

Inga and her friend are pretty good at playing (and fighting) together. This was Nov. 4th- thus the I voted sticker. Inga ate mine....

Inga now knows "six" and "seven."

Cinnamon Bear

Inga's Halloween outfit. She is a velvet Cinnamon bear and she knows how to roar! And she knows how to con neighbors out of all of the candy in their bowls. She did learn "thank you," so mommy isn't entirely mortified. Daddy took the pictures. We should have gotten some of the little trick-or-treater....Inga wore her new wool long underwear under the costume. I think she liked the underwear more than the being a bear.

Pumpkin Craving

Inga helped poppa carve the pumpkin. Well, actually, she ate little bits of raw pumpkin while he carved- but she seems to appreciate the result.

Sunny Morning

Reading

We're supposed to read to Inga every day. Inga has some strange tastes.

Inga's monkey suit

Gerty and Aura Lee brought Inga this Monkey Suit and brought mom and dad Anise Ice Cream. Due to Inga's advanced begging skills, in the end, she got both presents.
